Description: rPath has issued an update for initscripts. This fixes a security issue, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to perform certain actions with escalated privileges.
The security issue is caused due to the certain scripts improperly removing all directories contained within the /var/lock and /var/run directories at system start-up. This can be exploited to remove arbitrary directories via symlink attacks.
