Description: Marcus Meissner has reported a vulnerability in imlib and imlib2, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the decoding of runlength-encoded BMP images. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow by tricking a user into viewing a specially crafted BMP image.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.

Solution: Fixes are available in the CVS repository, from various Linux distributions, and the Gnome Project.
