Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in the Microsoft Windows, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the SMTP component when handling DNS responses. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow by passing a specially crafted DNS response.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

NOTE: The vulnerability only affects Microsoft Windows XP 64-Bit Edition Version 2003. Other Windows XP editions are not vulnerable.

Solution:
Apply patches.
