|
|
Description: Evgeny Legerov has reported some vulnerabilities in CommuniGate Pro Server, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and potentially compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerabilities are caused due to errors in the LDAP component during handling of negative length values in the Basic Encoding Rules (BER) length fields. This can be exploited to cause a DoS and may allow arbitrary code execution via a specially-crafted LDAP request.
The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 5.0.6. Prior versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to version 5.0.7.
Provided and/or discovered by: Evgeny Legerov, GLEG Ltd.
Changelog: 2006-02-03: Added CVE reference.
