CVE-2006-1562
CVE-2006-1563

Description:
Aliaksandr Hartsuyeu has discovered multiple vulnerabilities in VBook, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct script insertion attacks and SQL injection attacks, and by malicious users to compromise a vulnerable system.

1) Input passed to the "autor", "email", "www", "temat", and "tresc" parameters is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to inject arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when malicious content is viewed.

2) Input passed to the "x" paramter in "index.php" is not properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

3) Input passed to configuration parameters in "admin.php" is not properly sanitised before being stored in "config.php". This can be exploited to inject arbitrary PHP code, which is executed when "config.php" is used. Access to the administration section is required.

Note that the administration password is stored in a cookie.

Successful exploitation requires "magic_quotes_gpc" to be disabled.

The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 2.0. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.

Provided and/or discovered by:
Aliaksandr Hartsuyeu
