Description:
rgod has discovered a vulnerability in PHPCollab, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks.

Input passed to the "User Name" field in "/general/sendpassword.php" isn't properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation potentially allows the admin user's password hash to be disclosed, but requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.

The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 2.4 and also reported in version 2.5 rc3. Other versions may also be affected.

Note: It is also reported that the admin user can inject PHP code into the "settings.php" file via specially-crafted input passed to the "Ftp server" field.

Solution:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
