|
|
Description: Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in Virtual War, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
1) Input passed to the "vwar_root" parameter in "includes/get_header.php" isn't properly verified, before it is used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from external and local resources.
Successful exploitation requires that "register_globals" is enabled.
2) Input passed to the "vwar_root" parameter in "includes/functions_common.php" and "includes/functions_front.php" isn't properly verified, before it is used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from external and local resources.
Successful exploitation requires that "register_globals" is enabled.
The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 1.5.0 R12. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to version 1.5.0 R13.
