Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in Kaffeine Player, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the "http_peek()" function when creating HTTP request headers for retrieving remote playlists. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow via a specially crafted remote playlist.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability affects versions 0.4.2 through 0.7.1.

Solution:
Update to version 0.8.0 or apply patches.
