|
|
Description: Two vulnerabilities have been reported in MyBB, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and SQL injection attacks, and manipulate certain information.
1) An input validation error in the handling of attachment content dispositions for HTML attachments can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
2) An error caused due to the "global.php" and "inc/init.php" scripts not being properly protected from being accessed directly can be exploited to manipulate arbitrary script variables.
This can further be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site or manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 1.1. Prior versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to version 1.1.1.
