Description:
O.u.t.l.a.w has discovered a vulnerability in NeoMail, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.

Input passed to the "sessionid" parameter in neomail.pl is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user in an error message. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

Example:
http://[host]/neomail.pl?sessionid=[code]

The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 1.29. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
