Description:
Alexey Biznya has discovered a vulnerability in Gene6 FTP Server, which can be exploited by malicious users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused to an error within the handling of the "MKD" and "XMKD" commands. This can be exploited to cause a DoS via specially crafted arguments passed to the commands.

Example:
MKD ~A/~A/~A/~A/~A/~A/~A [approximate 3000 bytes]

Successful exploitation crashes the server and causes existing users to be disconnected.

The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 3.7.0 Build 24. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Update to version 3.8.0.34.
