CVE-2006-2344
CVE-2006-2345

Description:
Hamid Ebadi has discovered a vulnerability in AliPAGER, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks and SQL injection attacks.

1) Input passed to the "ubild" parameter in inc/elementz.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.

2) Input passed to the "ubild" parameter in inc/elementz.php is also not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

Successful exploitation requires that a valid session exists.

The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 1.5. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.

Provided and/or discovered by:
Hamid Ebadi

Changelog:
2006-05-16: Added CVE references.
