Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in in Novell eDirectory, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to an boundary error within the iMonitor NDS Server when parsing URLs to the "nds" path. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via an overly long URL.

The vulnerability has been reported in iMonitor version 2.4 that ships with eDirectory version 8.8.

Apply patch (for eDirectory 8.8):
