Description:
Core Security Technologies has reported a vulnerability in Asterisk, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error within the IAX2 channel driver (chan_iax2) and can be exploited to corrupt memory in a way that allows execution of arbitrary code via a malicious IAX2 client.

The vulnerability has been reported in versions prior to 1.2.9.1 and prior to 1.0.11.1.

Solution:
Update to version 1.2.9.1 or 1.0.11.1.
