CVE-2006-3104
CVE-2006-3105

Description:
rgod has reported some vulnerabilities and a weakness in Bitweaver, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose certain system information, conduct cross-site scripting attacks, and potentially compromise a vulnerable system.

1) Input passed to the "feedback" parameter in /articles/index.php isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

Examples:
http://[host]/articles/index.php?feedback=[code]

2) Invalid input passed to the "sort_mode" parameter in /users/index.php discloses the full installation path and SQL table names via a bug report error message.

3) Access to the "/temp/articles" directory is not properly restricted. This can potentially be exploited to upload files with multiple file name extensions and executing them, e.g. file.php.jpg.

Successful exploitation requires that the "mod_mime" module is installed in Apache and reportedly requires a race-condition to access to the file before it is deleted.

The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 1.3. Other versions may also be affected

Solution:
Update to version 1.3.1.
