CVE-2006-3131

Description:
r0t has reported some vulnerabilities in Clubpage, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks and SQL injection attacks.

1) Input passed to the "news_archive", "language", and "intranetLogin" parameters in index.php, to the "sites_id" parameter in sites.php, and to the "news_id" parameter in news_more.php is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

2) Input passed to the "category" parameter in index.php is not properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Reportedly there are more vulnerabilities in the "calender" and "runners" module.

The vulnerabilities have been reported in the latest version (2006-06-20). Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.

Filter malicious characters and character sequences in a web proxy.
