Description: A vulnerability has been reported in CHM Lib (chmlib), which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error in the "extract_chmLib" example program when extracting files. This makes it possible to have files extracted to arbitrary writable locations outside the specified directory using the ".." directory traversal sequence.
The vulnerability has been reported in version 0.37. Prior versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to version 0.38.
