Description: Florian Hackenberger has reported a vulnerability in dhcdbd, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to a memory corruption error within the handling of received DHCP messages. This can be exploited to crash the daemon via a specially crafted DHCP message that contains a single-byte of non-ASCII character in the DHCP option.
The vulnerability has been reported in version 1.12. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to version 1.14.
