Description: Luigi Auriemma has reported some vulnerabilities in AdPlug, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and potentially compromise applications using the library.
The vulnerabilities are caused due to boundary errors in the processing of media files. This can be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted CFF file, to cause heap-based buffer overflows via specially crafted MTK, DMO, and U6M files, and to cause stack-based buffer overflows via specially crafted DTM and S3M files.
The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 2.0. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to version 2.0.1.
