Description:
Tan Chew Keong has reported a vulnerability in PowerArchiver, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to boundary errors when adding files to a ZIP archive and can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow when a file is added to a ZIP archive containing a file with an overly long filename.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code, but requires that the user attempts to add a file to the malicious archive.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 9.62.03. Other versions may also be affected.
