Description: h07 has discovered a vulnerability in WFPTD Server/Pro Server, which can be exploited by malicious users to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when processing long pathnames. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow by e.g. supplying an overfly long argument starting with a "/" character to the "SIZE" command.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 3.23. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Follow the workaround suggested by the vendor.
