Description: Vipsta has discovered a vulnerability in eFiction, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security restrictions.
The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the authentication process. This can be exploited to bypass the authentication process and access the administration section by setting the "adminloggedin", "loggedin", and "level" parameters to "1".
Successful exploitation requires that "register_globals" is enabled.
The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 2.0.7. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Edit the source code to ensure that users are properly authenticated.
Set "register_globals" to "Off".
