CVE-2006-5816

Description:
Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in BCWB, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

Input passed to the "root_path" parameter in include/startup.inc.php and to the "root_path_admin" parameter in include/startup.inc.php, dcontent/default.css.php, and system/default.css.php is not properly verified before being used to include files. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary PHP code by including files from local or external resources.

Successful exploitation requires that "register_globals" is enabled.

The vulnerabilities are partially reported in version 0.99, and confirmed in version 2.3 and 2.5 Beta. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly verified.
