Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in Sun Solaris, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an unspecified error, which can be exploited to disable the syslog function.

The vulnerability affects Sun Solaris 8, 9, and 10 for both the x86 and SPARC platform.
