Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in OWFS's owserver module, which can be exploited by malicious users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an improper handling of bad paths. This can be exploited to crash the server via a specially crafted path passed to certain owshell programs.

The vulnerability is reported in version 2.5p5. Prior versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Update to version 2.5p6.
