Description: H D Moore has reported a vulnerability in D-Link DWL-G132 Wireless driver, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the A5AGU.SYS device driver when handling beacon requests containing more than 36 bytes in the Rates information element. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted packet.
The vulnerability is reported in version 1.0.1.41. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Turn off the wireless card when not in use.
Provided and/or discovered by: H D Moore
