Description:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in Net-SNMP, which can be exploited by malicious users to bypass certain security restrictions and by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

1) An error within the handling of the "rocommunity" and "rouser" configuration directives in snmpd.conf can be exploited to gain write-access to read-only resources.

The vulnerability is reported in version 5.3.0.

2) An error within the handling of TCP disconnects can be exploited by subagents to cause an snmpd in master agentx mode to crash.

Solution:
Update to version 5.3.0.1 or later.
