Description: A vulnerability has been reported in Eudora WorldMail, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the Mail Management service (MAILMA.exe) when parsing successive delimiters. This can be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted request.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is reported in version 3.1.x. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Restrict access to the service (port 106/tcp).
The vendor is reportedly not planning on issuing a fix.
