Description:
LMH has reported a vulnerability in FreeBSD, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an error within the "ufs_dirbad()" function when handling corrupted UFS images and can be exploited to cause a kernel panic.

The vulnerability is reported in FreeBSD 6.1. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Allow only trusted users to mount UFS images.
