Description: Gentoo has issued an update for openldap. This fixes a vulnerability, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.
The vulnerability is caused due to the "gencert.sh" script using temporary files insecurely during the emerge process. This can be exploited via symlink attacks to overwrite arbitrary files with the privileges of the user running the emerge process.
Solution: Update to the latest version of "net-nds/openldap".
Changelog: 2007-01-30: Added CVE reference.
