Description:
Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in CARE2X, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise vulnerable systems and to disclose system information.

1) Input passed to the "root_path" parameter in include/inc_checkdate_lang.php, include/inc_environment_global.php, and include/inc_load_copyrite.php is not properly verified before being used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from local or external resources.

Successful exploitation of these vulnerabilities requires that "register_globals" is enabled.

2) It is possible to view certain system information returned by the "phpinfo()" function by accessing the phpinfo.php script directly.

3) Input passed to the "root_path" parameter in language/en/en_copyrite.php, language/vi/vi_copyrite.php, language/ar/ar_copyrite.php, include/care_api_classes/class_access.php, include/care_api_classes/class_department.php, include/care_api_classes/class_config.php, include/care_api_classes/class_image.php, include/care_api_classes/class_ward.php, include/care_api_classes/class_product.php, and gui/smarty_template/smarty_care.class.php is not properly verified before being used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from local or external resources.

Successful exploitation of these vulnerabilities requires that "register_globals" is enabled.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 2.2. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly verified.

Set "register_globals" in php.ini to Off.
