| CVE reference: | CVE-2007-1397
|
|
Description: ilja has reported some vulnerabilities in FiSH, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) or potentially compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerabilities are caused due to boundary errors when processing certain commands (e.g. PRIVMSG). These can be exploited to e.g. crash the client or cause a stack-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted IRC command sent to the client.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
Solution: Use another product.
Provided and/or discovered by: ilja
Changelog: 2007-03-14: Added CVE reference.
