CVE-2007-3325

Description:
Kacper has discovered two vulnerabilities in LAN Management System, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise vulnerable systems.

Input passed to the "CONFIG[directories][userpanel_dir]" parameter in modules/userpanel.php and "_LIB_DIR" in modules/welcome.php and /lib/language.php is not properly verified before being used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from local or external resources.

Successful exploitation requires that "register_globals" is enabled.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.8.9. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Update to version 1.9.7 and disable "register_globals".
