Description:
Stefan Esser has reported some vulnerabilities in PHP. One has unknown impact, while the other can be exploited by malicious people to disclose potentially sensitive information.

1) An error exists within the "unserialize()" function when unserialising specially escaped S: data types. This can be exploited to e.g. disclose certain parts of the heap memory.

2) An off-by-one error exists in the "str_replace()" function when replacing one character with another character.

The vulnerabilities are reported in version 5.2.1.

Solution:
Update to version 5.2.2 to fix vulnerability #1. Do not use the "str_replace()" function on untrusted data.
