Description:
Marsu has discovered a vulnerability in PhotoFiltre Studio, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when handling TIF files and can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted TIF file.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 8.1.1. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Do not open untrusted TIF files.
