Description: Some vulnerabilities have been reported in Borland InterBase, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerabilities are caused due to boundary errors in various functions and can be exploited to cause stack-based buffer overflows via specially crafted parameters passed to the affected functions.

* isc_attach_database
* jrd8_attach_database
* isc_create_database
* jrd8_create_database
* PWD_db_aliased
* expand_filename2
* open_marker_file (UNIX only)
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerabilities are reported in the following versions of Borland InterBase. Other versions may also be affected.
* WI-V8.1.0.257
* WI-V8.0.0.123
* WI-V7.5.1.80
