Description:
A security issue has been discovered in Mozilla Firefox, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security restrictions and disclose sensitive information.

The security issue is caused due to an error within the handling of "chrome:" URIs. This can be exploited to include arbitrary scripts from local resources via directory traversal attacks and reportedly allows disclosure of session cookie data and information about currently open web pages via the sessionstore.js file.

Successful exploitation requires that an extension, which doesn't store its contents inside a .jar file is installed.

The security issue is confirmed in version 2.0.0.11 for Windows. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Update to version 2.0.0.12.
