Description: A vulnerability has been reported in SILC Server, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the handling of "NEW_CLIENT" packets. This can be exploited to crash the application via a "NEW_CLIENT" packet that does not contain a nickname.
The vulnerability is reported in SILC Server prior to version 1.1.1.
Solution: Update to version 1.1.1 or later.
