Description: A vulnerability has been reported in InspIRCd, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an error when handling multiple users with long nicknames, idents, and hostnames. This can be exploited to crash the service by joining a channel with multiple specially configured clients.
Successful exploitation requires that the "uhnames" or "namesx" module is loaded.
The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to version 1.1.18.
Solution: Update to version 1.1.18.
