Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in eMule, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the webserver when handling overly long input entered in the login form's "password" field. This can be exploited by editing the HTML page to remove the "maxlength" restriction and then entering an overly long string (app. 4000 characters), which causes eMule to crash.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 0.29c.
