Description: Some vulnerabilities have been reported in Ethereal, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) or compromise a vulnerable system.
Boundary errors in the handling of the GTP and SOCKS protocols can be exploited to cause buffer overflows, which may allow execution of arbitrary code on a vulnerable system.
Unspecified errors in the handling of ISAKMP and MEGACO packets can be exploited to crash Ethereal or Tethereal.
Successful exploitation requires that Ethereal or Tethereal is running or a malicious packet trace file is read.
