Description: A vulnerability has been reported in the Half-Life dedicated server, which can be exploited by malicious people to download arbitrary files in certain directories and cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The problem is that any file in the "valve" directory or the directory of the current game can be downloaded if "allowdownload" has been enabled. This may disclose sensitive information stored in configuration files but can also result in a DoS if a large file is retrieved.
The vulnerability has been reported to affect all versions.
