Description

A vulnerability has been identified in Sun Solaris, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to escalate their privileges on a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to an unspecified error in the libraries associated with the PGX32 frame buffer.

Reportedly, successful exploitation allows a malicious user to escalate privileges to "root".

Only SPARC platforms are affected.
