Description: A vulnerability has been identified in XBoard, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to escalate their privileges.
The problem is that XBoard creates a file with a predictable name in the "/tmp" directory. This can potentially be exploited to manipulate arbitrary files and escalate privileges via symlink attacks.
Version 4.2.6 and prior are vulnerable.
