Description

A vulnerability has been identified in Sun Solaris, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to perform certain actions with escalated privileges.

The text editor "ed" creates temporary files insecurely, which can be exploit via symlink attacks to overwrite and create files on the system with the privileges of other users invoking "ed".
