Description:
Luigi Auriemma has reported two vulnerabilities in Active WebCam, which can be exploited by malicious people to read arbitrary files on a system and conduct Cross-Site Scripting attacks.

Both vulnerabilities are caused due to missing input validation.

The content of arbitrary files on a vulnerable system can be read via classic directory traversal attacks.

Example:
http://[victim]:8080/../../../windows/system.ini

User input is not sanitised before being returning in error pages. Arbitrary HTML or script code can therefore be included in an invalid request, which will cause it to be executed in a user's browser session when viewed.

Example:
http://[victim]:8080/<script>alert(document.cookie);</script>

The vulnerabilities have been reported in versions 4.3 and prior.
