Description: A vulnerability has been identified in KDE (K Desktop Environment), which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the file information reader in kdepim (KDE Personal Information Management) when handling VCF files. This can be exploited by tricking a user into viewing a specially crafted VCF file.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code on the user's system.
The vulnerability has been reported in 3.1.x versions prior to 3.1.5.
NOTE: File information reading is by default disabled for remote files.
