Description:
Red Hat has issued updated packages for cvs, which fix two vulnerabilities. The first vulnerability can be exploited by malicious users to create arbitrary folders and possibly files in the root of the host's file system.

The second vulnerability is an old issue caused due to an off-by-one error in the CVS PreservePermissions, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.
