Description: Peter Winter-Smith has reported two vulnerabilities in ProxyNow!, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerabilities are caused due to boundary errors in the proxy interface when handling certain HTTP requests. This can be exploited to cause buffer overflows by sending specially crafted HTTP GET requests containing overly long URLs prefixed with "ftp://" to the proxy service (default port 3128/tcp).
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges.
Version 2.75 and prior have been reported vulnerable.
A Proof of Concept exploit is available.
