Description: Tri Huynh has discovered a vulnerability in OpenJournal, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass the user authentication.
The vulnerability is caused due to an error when handling certain user input supplied to the "uid" parameter. This can be exploited to access the administrative functionality directly by supplying a NULL byte.
The original advisory included an example, which adds a new user:
http://[victim]/cgi-bin/oj.cgi?db=default&uid=%00&userid=hacker&auth=adduser
The vulnerability has been reported in version 2.05 and prior.
